Potato gravy



This recipe I have learnt from my friend she is from vidarbha(one region in maharashtra),they do some recipe in different way.I liked that so I tried and it turned out good so giving it here,try it and tell me.............

Ingredients:
2 medium size potatoes,1 small onion,2-3 garlic cloves,1 inch ginger,some cilantro,cumin seed,1/2 tablespoon coriander powder,2 table spoon grated coconut(dry),1 tablespoon garam masala,1/4 tablespoon turmeric,1/2 tablespoon red chili powder(or as per your taste), 3-4 tablespoon oil,salt to taste,cilantro for garnishing.

Time:45mins-1 hr.

Method:


1.First boil the potatoes and after cooling down, peel off the skin and cut in small pieces.

2.Now start for gravy,cut onion,take this onion,coconut,ginger,garlic,cilantro make fine paste together.

3.Keep one pan on medium heat,add oil,when it becomes hot add cumin seed, to this add already prepared paste,keep frying for 7-10 mins.,you will see it's changing color(initially it was green due to cilantro)to brown and looses raw smell of onion,also oozing out some oil.Lower the heat,add turmeric,stir once and add red chili powder,to this add coriander powder, add very little water(to prevent burning).Add garam masala and potatoes stir once and now add enough water,again inconsistency depends on how much thin or thick you want,last but not least don't forget to add salt.Sprinkle some cilantro and serve with chapati or naan.
