Curd rice
Ingredients:
1 cup rice,3 cups water,2-3 cups yogurt(dahi),2-3 tablespoon oil or clarified butter(ghee),1/2 tablespoon urad daal(white),cumin seed,mustard seed,2-3 red chilies,2-3 green chilies,1/2 tablespoon minced ginger,pinch of asafetida(hing),few curry leaves,cilantro,salt to taste.
Time:30 mins.
Method:
1.Take rice wash it and cook it by adding 3 cups of water.Take cooked rice add salt,finely chopped green chili,cilantro and yogurt mix well and keep it aside.
2.Now start to make seasoning(tadka),keep pan on medium to high heat,add oil when it will become hot add mustard seed let them splutter and add cumin seed,add urad daal and fry it.Add red chili and curry leaves stir once,to this add minced ginger and asafetida pour this tadka on rice which we have already cooked.Mix well and serve with pickle.
