Badam halwa
Ingredients:
1 cup almonds(badam),3 cups milk, 3-4 tablespoons sugar,2 tablespoons ghee.
Time:45-50 minutes.
Method:
1.First soak almonds into the water overnight.Take it out in the morning peel off the skin, make coarse paste of the almonds in grinder.
2.Now take one nonstick pan keep it on medium heat add ghee(clarified butter) in the pan let it melt,to this ghee add the almond paste, stir continuously on medium heat so it won't stick at the bottom(you will see it becomes dry, initially it was wet and sticky).
3.After some time(5mins) add milk, keep stirring until it becomes thick and oozes some oil. When you see its becoming thick, add sugar. (again consistency depends on you if you like somewhat sticky,thick/thin or dry you can remove the pan from heat accordingly).I have kept it thin as I like it this way.Serve hot.
This dish is very nutritious for kids.In winter, 2-3 times in a week you can feed this dish to kids.
I know that it is somewhat time consuming process but tastes delicious, try once.
You can serve this dish in breakfast and as a desert too after lunch/dinner.
